Community Bus Drivers

It’s not just about the destination, it’s about the journey…..

We are looking for volunteer Community Bus Drivers to join our dedicated team. 

The Council’s Community Bus Service provides transport for shopping and social support programs to the aged, younger disabled and socially isolated people in our community.

The role requires a weekly commitment on Friday afternoons from 12 noon until 3.00pm.

You will need a current Class C Licence, a thorough knowledge and understanding of Australian road rules and regulations, combined with excellent customer service skills, the ability to deal with passengers in a sensitive manner and be able to interact with a diverse range of people.

If you like a chat and engaging with others, this could be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you!

Bus Helper Volunteers

Community - community busAlways wanted a corner office with a view? How about travelling for free? In a $100,000 vehicle? Then this is the perfect role for you…..

The City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters provides a door-to-door Community Bus service for eligible residents who are transport disadvantaged and require assistance to access community activities.

Being a volunteer is a fulfilling and rewarding way to get involved in your local community.  Volunteering offers an opportunity to socialise and to use your experience, interests and personality to enrich the lives of others. 

This is a great role for a Volunteer who likes chatting and engaging with a broad range of people in our Community. The role requires a weekly (Thursday) commitment from 8.30am-11.30am.

Friends of the Billabong

The aim of FOB is to help conserve the unique native habitat of St Peters Billabong by offering hands-on assistance including planting, weed eradication and watering.

Working bees are held on-site once a month on the third Sunday of the month.
