Payneham Toastmasters

Payneham Toastmasters is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills. We are the best and least expensive personal improvement class you can go to. Anybody who begins and sticks with it for any length of time ends up a better speaker.

Members learn by speaking to groups and working with others in a supportive environment. Each meeting gives members the opportunity to - conduct meetings, give impromptu speeches, present prepared speeches & offer constructive evaluation.

Visitors are very welcome to come along to Payneham Toastmasters and see for themselves how things operate - there's no cost & no obligation - we will make you very welcome.

Meetings are held at the Payneham Community Centre

Meeting Times: 1st & 3rd Tuesday in the Month - Starts at 7pm and finishes at 9pm

Norwood Combined Probus Club Inc. - meets monthly

The Norwood Combined Probus Club meets in the Don Pyatt Hall (entry from George Street) between 10am and 12 noon, on the 4th Monday of every month from February up to and including November.

Each month we have a general meeting for 30 minutes, then break for a generous morning tea before being entertained by a guest speaker.

Our members enjoy various outings, including:

  • lunches
  • film mornings
  • bus trips.

There is also a monthly guided tour of different exhibitions in the Art Gallery, a monthly walk at a variety of locations followed by coffee, and regular Canasta and Bolivia games.

In December we have a Christmas lunch.

Membership is open to both ladies and gentlemen. Visitors are made extremely welcome.

Women's 50+ coffee and chat group

Our group is for women over 50 who would like to get to know other women in the Council area.

We meet weekly for coffee at a cafe in the NPSP area, and enjoy occasional lunches and dinners.

We are a friendly group and welcome new members.

There are no membership fees. Just pay for your own coffee/drink (and meals if applicable).
