Join the Library

Join the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters library service and be part of the 'one card' network. Membership is free!

Woman holding Library CardThe SA public library 'one card' network is connecting the systems of more than 130 public libraries across South Australia to let you borrow and return items wherever you go, using your City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters library card.

Anyone living in South Australia can join our library service.

If you are visiting the state and would like to use the library while you are here, bring in some photo ID and as a 'visitor member' you can borrow up to five items.

How to join

Step 1. Complete a membership application

To apply for membership you will need to complete a membership application form. Membership forms are available from our library branches or for download on this website.

Or you can complete our Online Self Registration Form, which will give you access to all of our digital collections.  If you wish to borrow physical items you will also need to follow steps 2 and 3 below.

Step 2. Produce some personal ID

Visit your local library and produce personal identification which includes:

  • current address
  • signature
  • photograph.

If you are under 18 years of age you will require a parent or guardian (someone over the age of 18) to sign on your behalf.

Step 3. Sign your new card and log in

Sign your new card. Now you are ready to borrow items.

To login to your account you will need to:

  • Click Log In or My Account in the top right hand corner of the NPSP Library Catalogue
  • In the Username field enter your Membership Number (located underneath the barcode of your NPSP Library card)
  • In the Pin Number field enter your pin. If you do not have a pin or can't remember it , please contact the library
  • Logging into My Account will enable you to change your pin number, place holds, view fines and borrowed items.
